ABOUT KB AESTHETICS

I am a friendly and highly experienced Registered Nurse with over 25 years of NHS experience, including 19 years in A&E as a Nurse Practitioner and Education Practice Development Sister. During this time, I became a skilled A&E nurse, undertaking advanced courses in Advanced Life Support (ALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Suturing, and Plastering. I also completed a City & Guilds qualification in Teaching and Assessing before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in A&E Nursing alongside a Specialist Practitioner qualification.

In 2008, I trained in injectable treatments on Harley Street, and in 2012, I became an Independent and Supplementary Nurse Prescriber after completing an additional degree in Pharmacology and Prescribing. Since then, I have pursued continuous professional development including one to one facilitation pathway training with leading experts in our industry to ensure I remain at the forefront of aesthetic advancements.

With 17+ years of experience in aesthetics nursing, I have developed an expert eye for natural, balanced results. My approach is always honest and ethical — I will never recommend unnecessary treatments. Instead, I focus on restoring natural beauty through a tailored, medical-led approach. Using a comprehensive facial analysis, I carefully consider facial proportions, movement, and structure to select the right products and techniques that achieve subtle, harmonious, and refined results so you still look like you.

With a deep medical background, I ensure treatments are performed with the highest level of safety, precision, and care, setting a higher standard in an industry where training and experience can vary.

I am a REGISTERED NURSE, INP, SAVE FACE, ACE and NMC accredited.

If you’re looking for honest, friendly advice, expert treatments, and natural enhancements tailored to your aesthetic goals, book a consultation today and take the first step towards safe, beautiful results you can trust.

Karen Brereton Nurse

KB Aesthetics is trained in the globally recognised MD Codes™ technique, to enhance your natural beauty with precision and care. This innovative approach tailors results to your unique facial anatomy, ensuring balanced and harmonious outcomes.Patients often seek aesthetic correction of facial deficiencies (e.g., lines and folds) that are rarely the underlying cause of dissatisfaction with their appearance. Use of a more holistic approach focused on improving the emotional messages of the face (e.g., looking less sad or tired) may improve patient satisfaction with treatment outcomes. The MD Codes™ system was developed to increase clinician success rates by reducing variability in the technical aspects of hyaluronic acid (HA) filler treatment and focusing on addressing unfavourable emotional attributes of the face.

The MD Codes, or medical codes, represent specific anatomical subunits for injection of HA fillers. Each MD Code includes information regarding the target depth of injection, the proper delivery tool (needle or cannula) and delivery technique (e.g., aliquot, bolus, fanning), and the minimum product volume recommended to achieve visible results.
